  1. Extended Celebration: A long weekend means more time to celebrate with your loved ones. You can plan pre-wedding events like welcome dinners, group outings, and post-wedding brunches to spend quality time with your guests.

  2. Days off: People have an extra day off, they can afford to travel to your wedding without taking extra time off work.

  3. More Time for Honeymoon: Since you’re already taking time off work for your wedding, you can extend your honeymoon and make the most of your time together as newlyweds.

  4. Better Weather: Long weekends often coincide with good weather, which is perfect for outdoor weddings. You can plan your wedding activities and photo shoots in natural settings like beaches, gardens, and parks.

  5. More Availability: Since long weekends are popular for travel, many wedding vendors and venues may have more availability during this time, making it easier for you to plan your dream wedding.

    1. Note; some vendors and venues can have a higher cost on long holiday weekends.

Need some ideas? You know I've got you covered:

  • Receive guests with a welcome bag at check-in; the bag will have all sorts of goodies for them to start the celebration:

  • Ask your Hotel if they can personalize the room key card and or the wristbands. This way all your guests are uniquely identified.

  • Local treats; In Puerto Rico, we have many but platanutres, paneletas, and coffee top the list.

  • Sun protection; shades, hats, sunblock, lip balm, flip flops.

  • Hydration; Tumblers, water bottles (have stickers on them with the wedding branding), electrolytes

  • Specialty kits such as hangover and safety with bandaids and safety pins.

  • The program; Make sure to include the itinerary and if you want to be extra -make them into a door hanger!

Here are some activity suggestions:

  1. Beach Party: If you're getting married near a beach, plan a beach party with your guests. You can set up beach games, have a bonfire, and enjoy a sunset cocktail hour.

  2. Plan a group hike: You can explore the natural beauty of the area and take breathtaking photos, El Yunque is a must-see when in Puerto Rico.

  3. Cultural Tour: You can visit local landmarks, try local cuisine, and learn about the local culture. Start at Old San Juan.

  4. Sports: You can get your adrenaline pumping and create unforgettable memories with your guests.; kayak, golf, beach tennis.

  5. Catamaran; this is ideal for snorkeling and a great way to visit our Vieques and Culebra municipalities with stunning beaches.
